Edition, 1st. drive in Miami\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FBHUDse-bh8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The ID.4 is Volkswagen\u2019s first<em><strong> all-electric SUV<\/strong> <\/em>and the brand\u2019s first global EV.<\/p>\n<p>Built on <em><strong>Volkswagen\u2019s MEB electric vehicle architecture<\/strong><\/em>\u2014the modular electric drive matrix\u2014it marries the strengths of a purpose-built EV with performance, packaging and value, features that have marked the brand for decades.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/autos0to60.com\/2021-volkswagen-id-4-test-drive-in-miami-250-miles-of-range-and-free-charging\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Volkswagen ID.4<\/a> competes in the world\u2019s largest market segment\u2014compact SUVs\u2014and is currently produced in Germany and China; in the future, it will also be assembled in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>At launch in the U.S., the 2021 ID.4 offers an 82kWh (gross) battery and a rear-mounted AC permanent-magnet synchronous motor with 201 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque. The EPA-certified range for the Pro S (Statement) and <a href=\"https:\/\/autos0to60.com\/volkswagen-id-4-2021-el-primer-suv-electrico-de-la-marca-alemana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1<sup>st<\/sup> Edition<\/a> (sold out) models is 250 miles.<\/p>\n<p>The ID.4 offer structure is simple\u2014four trims and one package. The entry-level Pro model is well equipped, with features typically found on higher trims baked in for added value. Starting later in 2021, the ID.4 AWD Pro will be available with an MSRP of $43,675.<\/p>\n<p>Pro S models are priced from $44,495, and add standout styling elements, along with creature comfort and convenience features.<\/p>\n<p>A Gradient Package is available for $1,500, and includes larger wheels and further design differentiators. AWD Pro S models will be priced from $48,175 on arrival later this year.<\/p>\n<p>A special ID.4 1<sup>st<\/sup> Edition model was available at launch, and has since sold out.
