As well as its position as number one globally, World Car also tops the automotive awards visibility rankings in the US, Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia. In total over 493 million people were reached by World Car during its 2025/2026 season, according to data from AITASTIC.
The annual World Car Awards program runs from September each year when eligible vehicles are announced, through to the reveal of the World Car Award winners at the New York International Auto Show in March of the following year. The Road to World Car includes the annual LA Test Drives in November, the announcement of World Car finalists in January, World Car Person of the Year being named in February, the Top Three In The World Finalists revealed at the beginning of March, before the winners are announced at the New York Show later that month.
Chair of the World Car Steering Committee, Steve Fowler, said, “The World Car Awards continues to dominate an increasingly crowded automotive awards landscape, reaching car buyers, car owners and car enthusiasts to really influence opinion and buying habits around the world.
“Our jurors are the most influential automotive experts who constantly produce impactful and innovative content, and I’m personally delighted to be chairing the revised World Car Steering Committee for this, World Car’s 23rd Awards season.”
The World Car Steering Committee for the 2027 season also comprises Ryan Blair, vice-president; Jens Meiners, chair emeritus; Siddharth Vinayak Patankar, senior director, Jenni Newman, director of juror relations and Carlos Sandoval, director, LATAM.
In addition to revisions to the World Car jury panel and steering committee, World Car will be revealing its new website at www.worldcarawards.com in early July.
